Ashika Carbon K-Pro

A lightweight, efficient all-rounder for serious sea kayak touring.

The Segla Ashika Carbon K-PRO is a high-performance straight-shaft Euro paddle designed around touring efficiency, low swing weight and precise control. Its moderately sized 610 cm² asymmetric blade provides enough power for dynamic sea kayaking while remaining comfortable and efficient over longer distances.

The blade measures 44.5 × 17 cm and is designed to catch cleanly, load quickly and release smoothly. Compared with Segla's larger Ultimax and Serpent blades, the Ashika requires less effort per stroke and is better suited to maintaining a comfortable, efficient cadence throughout a full day on the water.

The K-PRO construction uses Toray 3D Hex Carbon Fiber S700SC over an Etha-lite Foam Core, producing a stiff, lightweight blade with a buoyant and responsive feel. The carbon construction transfers power efficiently through the stroke while keeping overall paddle weight exceptionally low.

A Full Kevlar Strap Edge reinforces the blade perimeter against knocks and abrasion around rocky coastlines, while Segla's Hydrophobic Nano Coating helps the blade shed water cleanly on exit.

The straight 29 mm carbon shaft features Segla's Nano-Coated Ergonomic Grip, providing a secure and comfortable hold in wet and cold conditions.

The Vector Smart System provides tool-free adjustment of both paddle length and feather angle, allowing the Ashika to be fine-tuned to different kayaks, paddling styles and conditions.

Two adjustable sizes are available: 208–218 cm at approximately 711 g and 214–224 cm at approximately 730 g.

The Ashika is a particularly strong choice for sea kayakers who want a premium carbon Euro paddle without moving to a large, high-resistance blade.
