The base is accessible by car or by rail with a pre-booked taxi for the final part of the journey. Booked participants receive the exact directions and arrival information they need.

Before you set off

What happens after you book

1

Book your activity

Choose a scheduled course online or arrange private coaching, a journey or a tailored booking by email.

2

Receive joining information

Your joining information confirms the meeting point, exact directions, what to bring and anything to complete before arrival.

3

Meet at the Academy

The normal start time is 9:00am unless Ant or your coach has arranged something different with you.

Please do not rely on turning up without an appointment. New Holmus Farm is a working, lived-in rural site and the Academy operates around booked activities rather than public opening hours.

Local connection

Taxi travel

Local taxis can provide the final connection from either station. Pre-booking is strongly recommended, particularly during busy periods.

Stay at the base

Make the journey easier

Participant camping and Holmus Cottage can reduce morning travel and give multi-day bookings a calmer rhythm. Guests staying on site have hot showers and access to the Wheelhouse, a spacious shared indoor area with sofas and a basic kitchen. You can also stay elsewhere and travel to the Academy each day.
