These journeys are not designed as first-time sea kayaking experiences. If you are still learning core skills or feel uncertain spending a full day on coastal water, Foundation or Development will provide a better starting point.
How each day is chosen
The plan follows the coast, group and conditions
Meet at New Holmus Farm to review the forecast, tides, group and useful options. The exact location and journey are then selected for the day.
Assess the day
Consider weather, sea state, energy, experience and the best available sections of coast.
Choose an appropriate journey
Select a route with worthwhile paddling and sensible alternatives rather than forcing a named objective.
Adapt as needed
Change pace, route or emphasis when the sea or group provides new information.

You do not need to choose a fixed route or design a bespoke package. Tell us who is coming, your possible dates and your recent sea kayaking experience. We will recommend the most suitable number of days, format and price.

What happens next
A straightforward proposal
Ant will reply with a recommended format, suitable dates and a clear price. Once agreed, we reserve the journey directly and payment can be made by bank transfer without an online booking fee.
Private days start from £325 for one paddler, with whole-group pricing for up to eight. Multi-day journeys are quoted around the group and format.
Stay at or near the Academy
Accommodation is flexible
Participant camping is available at New Holmus Farm, and Holmus Cottage may be available separately. You are equally welcome to stay elsewhere and travel to the Academy each day.
