Guided Sea Kayak Journeys
Guided multi-day sea kayak journeys focused on exploring coastline, travelling by kayak, and spending meaningful time on the sea.
Guided Sea Kayak Journeys are immersive coastal experiences along the Pembrokeshire coast, led by experienced sea kayak coaches who take care of planning, safety, and logistics. These are not courses or assessments, but relaxed, well-considered journeys designed to let you travel by kayak and enjoy being on the sea.
Guided Sea Kayak Journeys are designed for paddlers who already feel settled and confident on the sea and are comfortable managing full days in coastal conditions. They are not suitable for those still building basic confidence or learning core sea kayaking skills.
What a Guided Sea Kayak Journey is like
Guided Sea Kayak Journeys involve multi-day coastal paddling, travelling by kayak and spending full days on the water. Days are shaped by conditions, the coastline, and the group — with time to explore, paddle, rest, and enjoy being in remarkable places.
You might spend the day moving between headlands, exploring sea caves, landing on quiet beaches, or watching wildlife from the water. These journeys are about travelling well on the sea rather than rushing, with experienced coaches managing decisions so you can settle into the rhythm of the journey.
Who these journeys are for
These journeys are best suited to paddlers who already feel comfortable spending full days on the sea and have experience paddling in coastal environments.
You don’t need to be working towards an award or assessment, but you should feel happy paddling day-to-day in real coastal conditions and be looking to enjoy travelling by kayak as part of a small group.
Experience within a group may vary, and days are adapted to suit conditions and the people involved.
Location and conditions
Guided Sea Kayak Journeys take place along the Pembrokeshire coast, with routes and destinations chosen day by day based on weather, sea conditions, and the group.
This flexible, condition-led approach allows us to make good decisions and find the best paddling each day, rather than committing to a fixed itinerary regardless of conditions.
Accommodation and facilities
On-site camping is available at the Sea Kayak Academy base, with access to shared facilities and drying space. Other local accommodation options can be arranged separately if preferred.
