Our story
Sea Kayak Academy grew out of more than a decade of running coastal paddling activities in Pembrokeshire. Over time, it became clear there was a need for a dedicated, coaching-focused space for sea kayakers who wanted to develop skills, confidence, and judgement beyond entry-level experiences.
The Academy was created to meet that need — not as a large centre or formal facility, but as a flexible coaching operation rooted in experience, adaptability, and a deep understanding of the local coastline.
Today, Sea Kayak Academy works with paddlers from across the UK and overseas, offering structured courses, bespoke coaching, and journeys that reflect the realities of paddling on the sea.
Coaches & approach
All Sea Kayak Academy courses are led by experienced sea kayak coaches who are actively engaged in personal paddling and professional development.
