Club Weekends and Group Trips
Guided sea kayaking for kayak clubs and established paddling groups
Sea Kayak Academy works regularly with kayak clubs and established paddling groups who want high-quality, flexible sea kayaking on the Pembrokeshire coast — without the burden of organising venues, tides, routes, or logistics.
Club Weekends are arranged directly with us and shaped around your group, the coastline, and the conditions. Many clubs return year after year, often holding the same weekend in the calendar.
You bring your group — we take care of the planning.
What a Club Weekend is
A Club Weekend is a guided sea kayaking trip run over one or more days for an established group. Rather than following a fixed itinerary, days are shaped by conditions, group aims, and the experience mix within your club.
Our role is to:
-
support good decision-making on the sea
-
manage safety and logistics
-
help your group make the most of the coastline
While leaving space for the social side that makes club paddling what it is.
Who Club Weekends are for
Club Weekends are best suited to:
-
kayak clubs
-
established paddling groups
-
groups who paddle together regularly
Groups often include a mix of experience levels. Plans are adapted to suit conditions and the people involved, rather than forcing everyone into a fixed format.
Location & conditions
All Club Weekends take place along the Pembrokeshire coast.
Venues and routes are chosen day by day based on:
-
weather and sea conditions
-
group ability and confidence
-
what will make for the most enjoyable paddling
This flexible approach allows us to find good paddling rather than committing to a single location in advance.
Accommodation & facilities
On-site camping is included for club weekends, with access to a large covered communal space that groups can use for meals, briefings, and social time.
This makes it easy for clubs to stay together on site and adapt plans comfortably if the weather turns.
How Club Weekends are arranged
Club Weekends are arranged directly by email rather than through a public calendar. This allows us to match dates, coaches, and the format of the weekend to your group and what you’re hoping to get from the time on the water.
Ant handles bookings and coordination — your coach will take care of everything on the water.
Many clubs return to paddle with us year after year and often hold the same weekend each season. Returning groups are given priority on dates they’ve previously used, with weekends released to other clubs if they’re not taken up.
All essential sea kayaking kit is available if individuals in your group need it.
If you’re planning ahead or would like to talk through options, just get in touch and tell us a bit about your group — we’ll take it from there.
Because weekends are limited, dates are confirmed directly by email rather than through a public booking system.
Is a Club Weekend right for your group?
If you’re unsure whether a Club Weekend is the right fit — or would like to talk through:
-
group size
-
experience mix
-
possible dates or formats
feel free to get in touch and we’ll help you decide.

All Sea Kayak Academy activities meet at our base in Pembrokeshire before heading to the coast.
