For kayak schools, clubs & paddling organisations
Bring your paddlers to Pembrokeshire. We’ll build the programme.
A considered sea-kayaking visit for the community you already lead. You bring the paddlers and objectives; Sea Kayak Academy brings local planning, appropriately qualified coaching, a permanent base and the practical support to make the days work.
Plan a group visit
Real coastline. A programme shaped for your group.
A partnership built around your people
Your community, with Pembrokeshire on its doorstep.
Give your paddlers a coherent coastal learning experience without trying to organise every venue, coach, piece of equipment and daily decision from a distance.
We work with visiting kayak schools, coaches, clubs and paddling organisations who want more than a standard public course. Tell us who is coming, what they can already do and what you want the visit to achieve. We then develop an agreed programme around the group, the season and the conditions.
Your organisation remains the relationship your paddlers know. Ant coordinates the Academy side and an appointed coach leads each paddling day within their appropriate Paddle UK qualification and any applicable provider remit. We agree responsibilities and logistics with you before places are offered or travel is committed.
What we can build together
Purposeful days, with room to adapt.
01 / PROGRAMME
Learning that fits the group
Coaching-led coastal days, journeys, navigation and decision-making work can be combined around your objectives and the participants’ experience.
02 / DELIVERY
Local expertise on the water
Experienced Academy coaches select suitable locations and daily aims for conditions and group capability, always within the appointed coach’s Paddle UK qualification and any applicable provider remit.
03 / LOGISTICS
A working base between days
Meet, plan, check kit, return to dry and prepare for the next day at New Holmus Farm, with accommodation options discussed as part of the proposal.
Example, not a fixed itinerary
What five days could look like.
For a visiting organisation bringing six to eight paddlers, we could shape a five-day block with a clear development theme and enough flexibility to respond to weather and learning needs.
- Start with goals, equipment and a shared understanding of the group.
- Use varied coastal venues for coached skills, journeys and decision-making.
- Build time for planning, reflection and feedback between paddling days.
- Arrange the suitable coach team and group structure for the activity and remit.
This is a starting point for a conversation, not a promised route, qualification or assessment. The programme, staffing, venues and any optional logistics are agreed in writing for each group.

The Academy advantage
One place to prepare, learn and regroup.
New Holmus Farm is our permanent home and working base in central Pembrokeshire. It gives a visiting group a practical centre of gravity while daily paddling locations remain conditions-led.
BEFORE THE WATER
Chart Room classroom
A dedicated space for charts, forecasts, tides, route choices and the day’s learning aims.
BETWEEN DAYS
Kit and drying facilities
Equipment, fitting, a drying tunnel and kit-washing facilities help a multi-day group stay organised.
STAYING TOGETHER
Camping and indoor space
On-site camping for participants and the Wheelhouse shared guest space. Holmus Cottage sleeps four and may be available separately, subject to dates.
Accommodation, equipment, transport and other support are scoped in the individual proposal; availability and inclusions are confirmed before booking.
A real place, not a packaged trip
Built for the rhythm of a multi-day visit.

Plan with the coast in mind
The Chart Room makes space for useful preparation and reflection. Pembrokeshire offers different coastal environments, so the appointed coach can choose an appropriate venue for the day’s conditions and aims within their Paddle UK qualification and any applicable provider remit.

Make the practical side easier
Drying and kit-washing facilities, Academy equipment where needed, on-site camping and the Wheelhouse help your group settle into the visit. We can discuss suitable arrival, accommodation and agreed logistics early in planning.
How we work with organisers
Start with the group, then build the visit.
- 01 / TELL US THE IDEA
Share your brief
Send approximate dates, paddler numbers, experience, learning aims, accommodation needs and where your group is travelling from.
- 02 / SHAPE THE PLAN
We develop an outline
We discuss the format, coach team, practical responsibilities, availability and a clear proposal for your organisation.
- 03 / AGREE THE DETAILS
Confirm together
Once scope and terms are agreed, we coordinate joining information and the delivery plan. Daily coastal choices remain responsive to conditions.
For organisers and partners
Let’s plan a group visit.
Tell Ant about the community you’d like to bring and what a successful Pembrokeshire programme would do for them. We’ll reply personally and take it from there.
Plan a group visitUseful first details: your organisation, approximate group size and experience, preferred season or dates, number of days, objectives and likely accommodation needs. The enquiry form gathers these details so Ant can build a useful first proposal.
