We’re absolutely delighted to announce that Sea Kayak Academy has been named Provider of the Year at the 2025 Paddle Cymru Awards!
This recognition from Paddle Cymru (part of Paddle UK) is a huge honour, and we’re so proud to be part of such a passionate, inspiring paddling community here in Wales. With a record number of nominations this year, it’s humbling to be chosen among so many amazing clubs and providers.
A Team Effort On and Off the Water
The judging panel praised our exceptional coaching, inclusive environment, and our commitment to helping paddlers of all abilities grow in confidence and skill.
While many of you know Ian for his calm, encouraging coaching style, this award is shared by the whole team. We also want to shine a spotlight on Amy, whose energy and experience have made a huge impact across the board. Amy is also proud to represent Paddle Cymru as a ShePaddles Ambassador, championing women and girls in paddlesport throughout Wales.
Behind the scenes, Ant works tirelessly to keep everything running smoothly — from logistics and planning to the countless moving parts that allow us to deliver the best possible experience for every paddler.

This award reflects the very heart of what we do. We believe paddling should be fun, accessible, and empowering — whether you’re setting off on your first sea kayak trip or pushing your personal limits.
It’s been our privilege to see so many of you grow in skill and confidence along the Pembrokeshire coastline. The trust and enthusiasm you bring to every course, every launch, and every wave make it all worthwhile.
