The Segla Ikigai is a premium full-carbon Greenland paddle designed for paddlers who want traditional Greenland geometry without the weight of a wooden paddle. At approximately 635–637 g, it is exceptionally light in the hands and particularly well suited to long-distance sea kayaking, rolling and technical Greenland paddle work.

The Ikigai features soft traditional shoulders, creating a subtle transition between the loom and blade. This gives your hands a natural reference for normal paddling while still allowing the paddle to slide smoothly through the hands for extended strokes, sculling and rolling.

Its long, narrow 780 cm² Greenland blades are designed to enter the water quietly and load progressively through the stroke. Rather than the immediate catch of a large Euro blade, the Ikigai develops power smoothly, making it particularly effective for efficient, high-cadence touring and the controlled support required for Greenland rolling.

Construction uses Toray 3D Carbon Fiber S700SC over an Etha-lite Foam Core, producing a stiff yet extremely light paddle with buoyant blades that feel responsive during sculling, rolling and support strokes.

A Full Kevlar Strap Edge reinforces the perimeter of the blades against everyday rock and shoreline contact, while the Hydrophobic Nano Coating helps shed water cleanly from the blade surface.

The 29 mm oval shaft provides a positive and comfortable grip, while Segla's Phantom Push Connection allows the Ikigai to separate into two pieces for transport while retaining the clean feel expected from a Greenland paddle.

Available in 220 cm at approximately 635 g and 225 cm at approximately 637 g.
