CWant to learn how to coach on the sea? The Sea Kayak coach training course is for you.

Learn, refresh and develop the skills you need to pass the British Canoeing Sea Kayak Coach award with this in-depth 2-day British Canoeing endorsed training course.

As a British Canoeing Sea Kayak Coach, you will be able to plan and run progressive coaching sessions in Sea, Touring and Sit-on-Top kayaks in up to moderate conditions on the sea.

This includes coaching beginners new to the sport who need experienced sea kayakers looking to improve their skills.

What we will cover:

On this two-day course, we look at the practical application of the coaching skills covered in your Core Coach Training course.

We will break down each aspect of the coaching syllabus focusing on the HOW, WHAT and WHERE to coach and how to coach the technical and tactical skills needed to paddle on the sea.

By the end of the two days, you will clearly know what to expect from your assessment.

Previous experience required?

To attend the Sea Kayak Coach Training course you must already have completed your Sea Kayak Leader (tidal or no-tidal) award and also have attended a Core Coach Training course.

Coach Award Registration:

You are required to register for your coach award with your relevant national association.

Registration can take place at any point on your development journey but there are some benefits to registering early.
